Do you feel like you don’t know how to ask for help, or feel like you have no one to turn to? Do you feel like there’s a part of your identity that you need to explore? Have you tried other therapists before and it felt too stuffy or like you didn’t ‘click’? Hi, I’m Steph and I see you, thank you for being here. I am here to remind you that it is okay to be feeling exactly how you feel, all of your feelings are valid. I bring my whole self to our sessions with a grounded, curious and kind demeanor and really focus on fostering a genuine therapeutic relationship with you. I believe that therapy should feel less clinical and formal than it does traditionally, I want you to feel at ease, relaxed and comfortable in your sessions with me!
I’m sure you can relate to this, during the pandemic I did a lot of self-reflection. Through this reflection and the time spent isolated at home, I was faced with my own identity struggles and discovered my queerness! Coming out to yourself is a complex process and one that I would love to support you through! My lived experience as a queer woman is deeply important to me and I bring this identity into the space proudly.
My trauma-informed, intersectional, and anti-oppressive practice welcomes everyone at any stage in their journey. I use an integrated approach drawing from Relational Cultural Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy.
Together, we can (re)discover what clarity, relief, and pleasure feels like by exploring all the parts of your journey, the painful and the joyful. Clients often seek support from me to explore depression, anxiety, relationships, gender expression, identity, sexuality, shame, suicidality and more. If I resonate with you, please connect for a free 20-minute consultation with me and we can start our therapeutic relationship!
